Didsbury Church of England School

Venue: Elm Grove, Manchester, M20 6RL Open 10am to 4pm Saturday 10th September.

The present site dates from 1878 with a Grade II listed Arts and Crafts building designed by John Swarbrick, a member of the Manchester Society of Architects and modelled on the Palais Stoclet in Brussels, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The school dates from 1612 and the oldest part on the present site from 1878, with a Word War I war memorial, which has public access from Grange Lane.

The exhibition this year is ‘ THE FORGOTTEN STORY OF ERNEST & SHEENA SIMON’ an amazing history of the SIMON family who were closely connected to the school. School history books on sale.
