MMU (Manchester Metropolitan University) The developers, P. J. Livesey Group, were keen to have the views of the Society and some of the feedback has been incorporated into their plans eg no parking bays at the front of the site and free access for pedestrians through the site. DCS will endeavour to ensure that all agreements made throughout the building works will be adhered to eg lorries exiting to Parrs Wood, NOT through the village.
Litter DCS is continuing to monitoring litter collection, and pavement repair and cleaning See minutes of DCS Committee meetings. We have supported the anti-litter campaign, “Let’s talk Rubbish”, in the village.
Planning application at the Towers for additional Parking DCS, along with local residents, is opposing this supported by the local Councillors.
Planning Application for Extensions on 53 Kingston Road DCS, along with local residents, is opposing this supported by the local Councillors.
Beaver Road School Extension DCS is being consulted on the plans before they go to Planning Committee.
The Didsbury Plan The plan has been devised by DCS and is a 3 year plan to fulfil our aim of maintaining the quality of life for Didsbury Residents and keeping it as a viable business and retail centre. Please click here for full plan.
